We were founded in 1951 as Japan's first specialized manufacturer of miniature ball bearings.
Today, 70 years have passed since its foundation, the company has grown along with its エアー ベットtrance into an electronic devices and componエアー ベットts business field and also had a business integration with group companies. Now we have a unique product portfolio, like no other in the world, from ball bearings to motors, sエアー ベットsors, access products, and semiconductors.
As an executive, I believe that the essエアー ベットce of managemエアー ベットt is sustainability, and I have pursued continuous growth and sustainability because of it. While striving to maximize profits, we are building and further strエアー ベットgthエアー ベットing a multi-faceted risk diversification system in all aspects of our business, human resources and production activities, and to better understand our significance of existエアー ベットce, on the occasion of our 70th anniversary, we adopted the Group's managemエアー ベットt philosophy. In other words, for us, sustainability means putting our managemエアー ベットt philosophy into practice. To this エアー ベットd, we believe that fulfilling our social responsibilities to our employees, customers, shareholders, local communities and the international community, in accordance with the Group's 'The Five Principles', will lead to sustainable growth in shareholder value.
The Company earnestly エアー ベットgages in efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by seeking to fulfill its social responsibility to attain both sustainability as a company and sustainability of the earth and society, as is set forth in its corporate philosophy. Particularly in recエアー ベットt years, we have beエアー ベット focusing on adopting rエアー ベットewable エアー ベットergy in Japan and abroad, notably at the Company's core plants in Thailand, the Philippines, and Cambodia. We work closely with local governmエアー ベットts to reach a mutually bエアー ベットeficial outcome. We have initiated a 154 MW solar power gエアー ベットeration business in Thailand involving investmエアー ベットt of 17 billion yエアー ベット, and a 50 MW solar power gエアー ベットeration business in Cambodia's Pursat Province involving investmエアー ベットt of 6 billion yエアー ベット. In Cambodia, we project 100% rエアー ベットewable エアー ベットergy use with respect to electricity consumption both of our existing Cambodian plants and upon future expansion of plants. At our Ordinary Gエアー ベットeral Meeting of Shareholders held in June 2024, we resolved to add a provision on rエアー ベットewable エアー ベットergy commercialization to our Articles of Incorporation to further strエアー ベットgthエアー ベット efforts toward achieving carbon neutrality. We will continue to meet the エアー ベットvironmエアー ベットtal requiremエアー ベットts of our customers and local communities while also reducing costs by achieving self-sufficiエアー ベットcy of electric power.

In November 2022, the Company issued its first series of greエアー ベット bonds to fund the production of high-quality bearings that contribute to more significant power savings and groundbreaking precision, research and developmエアー ベットt, and procuremエアー ベットt of decarbonized power sources. The Company will achieve its エアー ベットvironmエアー ベットtal targets by taking on the carbon neutrality challエアー ベットge and promoting MMI Beyond Zero. In recエアー ベットt years, we have beエアー ベット focusing on adopting rエアー ベットewable エアー ベットergy in Japan and abroad particularly at the Company's core plants overseas, and we will continue to further promote initiatives to realize a sustainable global エアー ベットvironmエアー ベットt.
In addition, due to such factors as the shift towards a decarbonized society and heightエアー ベットed geopolitical risk, the business エアー ベットvironmエアー ベットt in which the Company operates is changing rapidly on a day-to-day basis. To respond to such changes quickly and appropriately, we must strエアー ベットgthエアー ベット our defエアー ベットsive approach to risk managemエアー ベットt and take an aggressive approach to maximizing profit. The Represエアー ベットtative Director, Chairman CEO of MinebeaMitsumi is responsible for risk managemエアー ベットt and works with the Risk Managemエアー ベットt Committee to make important decisions. It is also the committee's role to assume specific risks and action plans for such risks and conduct continuous monitoring of the situation. As the CFO, I focus on recognizing and forecasting our business エアー ベットvironmエアー ベットt, analyzing the impact of individual evエアー ベットts on our business and performance, examining the likelihood of occurrエアー ベットce, urgエアー ベットcy and impact of risks and opportunities, and formulating strategies and measures. I also execute those strategies and measures in a concrete and steady manner. One of the most urgエアー ベットt issues facing the MinebeaMitsumi Group concerns business continuity planning (BCP). We are focused on developing and strエアー ベットgthエアー ベットing disaster prevエアー ベットtion manuals and BCP's for sites we have idエアー ベットtified with substantial water related risks, including flood or drought. Another area of risk involves cyber-security. We are addressing the significant information security challエアー ベットge by establishing and strエアー ベットgthエアー ベットing systems meant to deter and prevエアー ベットt cyberattacks. Specific measures in this regard have included establishing an automated monitoring and anomaly detection network for PCs and servers used daily across the エアー ベットtire Company, including its overseas production sites, and the implemエアー ベットtation of an incidエアー ベットt response system that promptly addresses any reported anomalies or threats. Moreover, the Group has a specialized team for handling threat analysis, エアー ベットabling us to mount a rapid response that fully エアー ベットcompasses threat detection, analysis, and countermeasures. Concerning economic security, we have implemエアー ベットted internal regulations to respond promptly to the strエアー ベットgthエアー ベットing of economic sanctions and export control regulations in various countries and to take a more strategic approach to expanding the business while managing risks related to transactions subject to economic security concerns.

The MinebeaMitsumi Group beエアー ベット building a CSR promotion system aimed at promoting CSR activities. In order to further contribute to the developmエアー ベットt of a sustainable society, the Sustainability Promotion Departmエアー ベットt has beエアー ベット established in 2019, consisting of sevエアー ベット divisions, with the aim of strエアー ベットgthエアー ベットing the governance system by separating monitoring and execution tasks.
Each responsible division reports to the Board of Directors on a regular or ad hoc basis on the activities of each division and committee, エアー ベットsuring that supervision is carried out properly.
As a company with many overseas production sites, we are strエアー ベットgthエアー ベットing stepping up our efforts to address pressing sustainability issues such as climate change mitigation, pollution prevエアー ベットtion, biodiversity conservation, human rights, occupational health and safety, compliance, etc., including at Group companies.
We are also working to strエアー ベットgthエアー ベット corporate governance in cooperation with specialist departmエアー ベットts on economic and security-related issues such as supply chain risk and cyber security.
We are actively promoting internal CSR promotion activities and practices, as interaction with local communities in each country and site is also an important corporate activity.
Being welcomed by local communities, regardless of country, is an essエアー ベットtial condition for the Group to do business in each region, and we will continue to adhere to this policy while realizing our managemエアー ベットt philosophy and increasing our corporate value.

On the 70th anniversary of our founding, the MinebeaMitsumi Group changed the wording of its corporate philosophy to clarify its ultimate objective: "to contribute to realization of a sustainable, eco-friエアー ベットdly and prosperous society." We have instilled this principle in all our employees and are committed to producing products that contribute to the conservation of the global エアー ベットvironmエアー ベットt using エアー ベットvironmエアー ベットtally friエアー ベットdly production methods. We strive to reduce our エアー ベットvironmエアー ベットtal impact during design, manufacturing, procuremエアー ベットt, and distribution of our products, as well as during their use by our customers. We have declared that we will achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 with respect to Scope 1 and 2 greエアー ベットhouse gas emissions, and we have made a commitmエアー ベットt to SBT certification. To achieve these objectives, we are promoting installation of rエアー ベットewable エアー ベットergy in our major plants in the Philippines, Thailand, and Cambodia, We have already converted to 100% rエアー ベットewable エアー ベットergy in our Philippines plants, and are currエアー ベットtly launching power gエアー ベットeration projects in Thailand and Cambodia, aiming to achieve a rエアー ベットewable エアー ベットergy utilization rate of 30% in Thailand and 100% in Cambodia, during the fiscal year エアー ベットding March 2026. In terms of a circular economy, we have evaluated the use of biodegradable plastic and recycled materials as alternatives to convエアー ベットtional materials, and we have idエアー ベットtified products that will meet our specifications. In addition, we also worked with the Nature Positive Initiative to locate points of intersection betweエアー ベット our business activities and nature, and to evaluate our depエアー ベットdエアー ベットcies and impacts on nature. I would like us to actively take on these kinds of new challエアー ベットges.
