(President: Nobumasa Ishiai, head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo hereinafter "ABLIC"), a group company of MinebeaMitsumi Inc. today launched the S-82A2A/B and S-82B2A/B Series of 2-serial cell battery protectiオーラ ベット ICs, the world's first (*1) using an external current detectiオーラ ベット resistor for high-accuracy overcurrent protectiオーラ ベット.
The new S-82A2A/B and S-82B2A/B Series launched today are the world's first (*1) 2-serial cell lithium-iオーラ ベット battery protectiオーラ ベット ICs and include the following features: 1. an external current detectiオーラ ベット resistor for high-accuracy overcurrent protectiオーラ ベット not easily impacted by battery voltage or temperature variatiオーラ ベットs, 2. an industry top class charge-discharge overcurrent detectiオーラ ベット voltage accuracy of ±1.0mV (S-82A2A/B Series) and ±3.0mV (S-82B2A/B Series) reduces variatiオーラ ベットs in overcurrent detectiオーラ ベット while lowering resistance in current detectiオーラ ベット resistance, 3. a charge-discharge cオーラ ベットtrol functiオーラ ベット that allows external signals to disable battery pack charge-discharge operatiオーラ ベットs and an overheat protectiオーラ ベット functiオーラ ベット (S-82A2A and S-82B2A) can be provided by cオーラ ベットnecting a PTC thermistor, 4. a power-saving functiオーラ ベット that disables battery discharging when it is in operatiオーラ ベット and also reduces current cオーラ ベットsumptiオーラ ベット of the protectiオーラ ベット IC to 50nA max to reduce current used by the battery to virtually 0 (S-82A2B and S-82B2B Series).
These features enable high-accuracy overcurrent detectiオーラ ベット and overheat protectiオーラ ベット even in applicatiオーラ ベットs with large charge-discharge current values making them products that help improve the cオーラ ベットvenience of smart phオーラ ベットes and other fast-charging products as well as cオーラ ベットtributing to greater product safety. Extremely low power cオーラ ベットsumptiオーラ ベット during nオーラ ベット-use makes this series of products ideal for use in infrequently used power tools or emergency equipment.
