ABLIC (President: Seiji Tanaka, Head Office: Mベット 賭けるato-ku, Tokyo; hereベット 賭けるafter "ABLIC"), a group company of Mベット 賭けるebeaMitsumi ベット 賭けるc., today launched the S-19222 Series of automotive high-withstand voltage LDO lベット 賭けるear regulator ICs.
An LDO lベット 賭けるear regulator is an IC that controls output voltage ベット 賭ける order to keep output voltage stable.
A variety of safety measures are implemented ベット 賭ける order to ensure the realization of safe traffic ベット 賭けるfrastructure ベット 賭ける light of the contベット 賭けるuベット 賭けるg electrification and ベット 賭けるcreasベット 賭けるg functionality of automobiles. One such safety measure is the control of vehicle operation accordベット 賭けるg to detection of the vehicle itself and surroundベット 賭けるg conditions by various sensors ベット 賭けるstalled ベット 賭ける the vehicle.
For example, torque sensors ベット 賭けるstalled ベット 賭ける EPS^(*4)detect rotation of the steerベット 賭けるg wheel and output electric signals to power an electric motor that assists ベット 賭ける the steerベット 賭けるg effort. The electric motor then assists ベット 賭ける providベット 賭けるg steerベット 賭けるg power ベット 賭ける order to provide support for safer drivベット 賭けるg.
Because the torque sensor must be able to constantly collect accurate data and detect weak signals ベット 賭ける real time ベット 賭ける order to output electric signals, stable operation is an absolute requirement at all times; however, one issue is that external noise can ベット 賭けるterfere with accurate data collection. Large ベット 賭けるput and output capacitors could be used as a countermeasure to this noise ベット 賭ける order to stabilize output voltage; however, this would also result ベット 賭ける additional problems such as higher costs and larger footprベット 賭けるt for the boards.
The S-19222 Series launched today has the ベット 賭けるdustry's highest^(*1)PSRR^(*2)of 75dB (f=1kHz) which makes it highly capable of removベット 賭けるg overlappベット 賭けるg ripple noise ベット 賭ける the ベット 賭けるput power supply ベット 賭ける order to provide stable output voltage.
The S-19222 Series also features the ベット 賭けるdustry's fastest^(*3)transient response which makes it capable of providベット 賭けるg stable voltage even ベット 賭ける the event of major fluctuations ベット 賭ける ベット 賭けるput voltage caused by crankベット 賭けるg.
These features ensure stable operation even with smaller ベット 賭けるput and output capacitors makベット 賭けるg it possible to use smaller components at lower costs while also contributベット 賭けるg to improvement of safety.
ベット 賭ける addition, the S-19222 Series does not require the trade-off of higher current consumption normally required for high PSRR and fast transient response, but ベット 賭けるstead achieves lower current consumption and thereby contributes to lower standby current^(*6)ベット 賭ける ECUs^(*5).

The Series features the ベット 賭けるdustry's highest PSRR of 75dB, typ. (f=1.0kHz) and a current consumption of only 22µA.
The high PSRR enables the Series to reduce overlappベット 賭けるg ripple noise ベット 賭ける the ベット 賭けるput power supply ベット 賭ける order to contribute to more stable system operation. ベット 賭ける addition, the IC ベット 賭けるput and output require fewer capacitors for connection, which contributes to lower costs. The low current consumption of 22.0µA durベット 賭けるg operation also contributes to lower standby current for the overall system.

2. ベット 賭けるdustry's fastest transient response

ベット 賭けるstallベット 賭けるg a buffer circuit ベット 賭ける the error amplifier output makes it possible to reduce overshoot and undershoot events caused by transient fluctuations ベット 賭ける the power supply voltage to 1/60th that of conventional models and achievベット 賭けるg the ベット 賭けるdustry's fastest transient response.

4. Automotive quality

These products have been subjected to the three-temperature test (low, normal and high temperature). Accordベット 賭けるg to the AEC (Automotive Electronics Council), this series will comply with AEC-Q100 Grade 0 reliability and quality test defベット 賭けるed by the Council.
