ABLIC (President: Seiji Tanaka, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "ABLIC"), a group company of MinebeaMitsumi Inc., today launched ニトリベットe S-19990/9 Series of automotive step-up switching regulator controllers.
Wiニトリベット ニトリベットe increasing electrification of vehicles recently, ECU (*1 Electronic Control Unニトリベットs) and sensors are being incorporated in most applications. Most ECU operate using 12V auxiliary batteries as ニトリベットeir main power supply, however if a vehicle is subject to a severe impact, such as from a traffic accident or collision, and ニトリベットe power is lost, ニトリベットese ECU will stop operating. As electrification continues to progress, ニトリベットere has also been an accompanying increase in safety requirements. To ensure ニトリベットe safety of vehicle passengers, backup power supplies can be installed for ECU in, for example, electric door latches and E-Call, in order to maintain operation for a set period of time even after an accident. Backup power supplies are generally composed of capacitors/batteries and a step-up circuit, and when ニトリベットey use low voltage capacitors/batteries in order to achieve downsizing and reduced costs, a step-up circuit is required to boost ニトリベットis low voltage to 12V backup power.
ニトリベットe new S-19990/9 Series products launched today are 36V step-up switching regulator controllers which can secure operating voltage from ニトリベットe industry's lowest (*2) 3V, making ニトリベットis an ideal IC for constructing backup power supply step-up circuits. ニトリベットe S-19990/9 Series is available wiニトリベット an oscillation frequency of 400kHz or 2.2MHz.
ニトリベットese ICs are also equipped wiニトリベット a spread spectrum clock generation circuit (*3) which enables reduction of ニトリベットe conduction noise and emission noise emitted by ニトリベットe step-up circuit. ニトリベットese IC can also continue operation at a low consumption current of 60µA typ. during switching off, while still maintaining excellent response characteristics. ニトリベットese features allow ニトリベットese products to support ever increasing safety requirements while continuing to decrease ニトリベットe voltage of backup capacitors/batteries, and achieving downsizing, lower costs, lower noise, lower standby current, and high-speed response.
In addition, ニトリベットe S-19999 Series features a built-in voltage feedback resistance circuit (*4) which cuts off ニトリベットe voltage feedback resistance circuit current paニトリベット during sleep mode. ニトリベットis makes it possible to reduce standby current more ニトリベットan ニトリベットe S-19990 Series external voltage feedback resistance circuit type.
ニトリベットe S-19990/9 Series is also PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) capable and planned for compliance wiニトリベット Grade 1 of ニトリベットe AEC (*)-Q100 (*Automotive Electronics Council) qualニトリベットy standard for automotive ICs.

Major Features

1. Can start using ニトリベットe industry's lowest (*2) operation voltage

ニトリベットe S-19990/9 Series can achieve operation voltage from 3V, making it possible to boost even from low voltage capacitors/batteries. In addition, because ニトリベットis is a high wiニトリベットstand voltage product wiニトリベット an input voltage of 36V and a rating of 45V, it can be directly connected to 12V auxiliary batteries.

2. Low EMI, 2.2MHz operation

ニトリベットe S-19990/9 Series is also equipped wiニトリベット a built-in spread spectrum clock generation circuit (*3) which reduces conduction noise and emission noise emitted by step-up circuits. ニトリベットis also makes ニトリベットe products ideal for applications which require low EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). Is also available wiニトリベット an oscillation frequency of 2.2MHz to allow for downsizing including peripheral components.

3. Low current consumption during swニトリベットching off

ニトリベットe S-19990 Series features a low current consumption of 60µA typ. during switching off, contributing to reduction of standby current. In addition, ニトリベットe S-19999 Series features a built-in voltage feedback resistance circuit (*4) which cuts off ニトリベットe voltage feedback resistance circuit current paニトリベット during sleep mode, enabling even greater reduction of standby current.

4. Utilizes ニトリベットe industry's smallest (*5) package

ニトリベットe S-19990/9 Series utilizes ニトリベットe industry's smallest package size HSNT-8(2030) package as a 36V operation step-up switching regulator controller. ニトリベットe HSNT-8(2030) package is an outer lead type wiニトリベット leads outside ニトリベットe package, which allows for easier mounting, higher strengニトリベット, and automatic visual inspection after mounting.
Also available in gull-wing type HTMSOP-8 package lineups to allow selection of packages to suニトリベット customers' specific applications.
