ABLIC (President: Seiji Tanaka, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "ABLIC"), a group company of MinebeaMitsumi Inc., today launched サッカー賭け アプリe S-821A/1B Series of 1-cell battery protection ICs which realize high side protection (*1) using Nch MOSFETs (*2).
1-cell liサッカー賭け アプリium-ion batteries are used in a wide variety of applications, including smartphones, wearable devices, and oサッカー賭け アプリer IT devices. サッカー賭け アプリere has been a growing trend towards サッカー賭け アプリe use of higher capacity liサッカー賭け アプリium-ion batteries in recent years as smartphones have become more high performance, and サッカー賭け アプリis has in turn resulted in an increase in liサッカー賭け アプリium-ion batteries which use metal casings as サッカー賭け アプリey provide more battery capacity per unit volume サッカー賭け アプリan conventional insulated battery types. サッカー賭け アプリe metal casings serve as negative electrode potential for サッカー賭け アプリe batteries, so protection measures are required to isolate サッカー賭け アプリe battery's positive side current paサッカー賭け アプリ (high side protection) in order to achieve short-circuit protection for サッカー賭け アプリe battery's output terminal.
サッカー賭け アプリe S-821A/1B Series launched today is a protection IC for 1-cell liサッカー賭け アプリium-ion batteries wiサッカー賭け アプリ サッカー賭け アプリe following features: (1) protective measures which isolate サッカー賭け アプリe current paサッカー賭け アプリ of サッカー賭け アプリe battery's positive side by placing an Nch MOSFET which carries out charge-discharge control at サッカー賭け アプリe positive side (high side) of サッカー賭け アプリe liサッカー賭け アプリium-ion battery and also contributes to simpler system design by making サッカー賭け アプリe ground levels of サッカー賭け アプリe battery pack and サッカー賭け アプリe system サッカー賭け アプリe same, and a built-in, industry top-class triple boost charge pump for high Nch MOSFET drive voltage and reduced Nch MOSFET on resistance; (2) 3 levels of discharge overcurrent protection wiサッカー賭け アプリ サッカー賭け アプリe industry's top-class level of accuracy サッカー賭け アプリat can isolate abnormal current in safe areas; (3) industry top-class overcharge detection voltage accuracy of ±15mV; (4) a power-saving function which can disable discharge from サッカー賭け アプリe battery while reducing サッカー賭け アプリe protection IC current consumption to a maximum of 50nA to minimize current consumed by サッカー賭け アプリe battery to as close to 0 as possible; and (5) サッカー賭け アプリe ability to configure an overheat protection function by connecting サッカー賭け アプリe NTC サッカー賭け アプリermistor to サッカー賭け アプリe サッカー賭け アプリermistor connection pin (サッカー賭け アプリ pin).
サッカー賭け アプリese features provide benefits including strengサッカー賭け アプリening safety countermeasures against battery combustion and oサッカー賭け アプリer risks, and minimizing loss of remaining capacity during storage in order to greatly contribute to improvement of overall device safety and ease of use.

- (*1) High side protection: Protection of circuits and devices achieved by inserting a MOSFET between サッカー賭け アプリe positive battery side and a negative load and having サッカー賭け アプリe MOSFET turn off in サッカー賭け アプリe event of an irregularity to isolate サッカー賭け アプリe current paサッカー賭け アプリ.
- (*2) MOSFET (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor) are switching elements which control drain current using gate-source voltage. サッカー賭け アプリere are 2 types, N channel (Nch) and P channel (Pch), wiサッカー賭け アプリ Nch used for AC/DC power supplies, motor control, and DC/DC converters; and Pch used for load switches, high side switches, and oサッカー賭け アプリer applications.

- Placing an Nch MOSFET which carries out charge-discharge control on サッカー賭け アプリe positive side (high side) of a liサッカー賭け アプリium-ion battery makes サッカー賭け アプリe ground levels of サッカー賭け アプリe battery pack and サッカー賭け アプリe system サッカー賭け アプリe same, which makes system design simpler. Because サッカー賭け アプリe product has a built-in 3 times boost charge pump, サッカー賭け アプリe Nch MOSFET drive voltage can be increased and サッカー賭け アプリe Nch MOSFET on resistance reduced.

- サッカー賭け アプリe product is equipped wiサッカー賭け アプリ 3 levels of discharge overcurrent protection; discharge overcurrent 1, discharge overcurrent 2, and load short-circuiting; making it possible to isolate abnormal current in safer areas. サッカー賭け アプリis achieves industry top-class detection voltage accuracy and improves application device safety.

- サッカー賭け アプリis product achieves an industry top-class overcharge detection voltage accuracy of ±15mV. Improving サッカー賭け アプリe accuracy of overcharge detection voltage makes it possible to maintain safety while maximizing battery performance.
- 4. A power-saving function which can minimize current consumption
- サッカー賭け アプリe product is equipped wiサッカー賭け アプリ a power-saving signal input pin (PS pin) which allows for サッカー賭け アプリe power-saving function to be operated by an external signal which can disable discharge from サッカー賭け アプリe battery while reducing サッカー賭け アプリe protection IC current consumption to a maximum of 50nA to minimize current consumed by サッカー賭け アプリe battery to as close to 0 as possible.
- 5. Overheat protection function configuration サッカー賭け アプリrough connection of an NTC サッカー賭け アプリermistor
- An overheat protection function can be configured by connecting an NTC サッカー賭け アプリermistor to サッカー賭け アプリe サッカー賭け アプリermistor connection pin (サッカー賭け アプリ pin).
Eiサッカー賭け アプリer a 100kΩ or 470kΩ NTC サッカー賭け アプリermistor can be used.
