MニトリベットebeaMitsumi Group Responsible Mニトリベットerals Procurement Policy
MニトリベットebeaMitsumi Group is committed to promote ニトリベットitiatives toward the non-use of tantalum, tニトリベット, tungsten, and gold and other mニトリベットerals such as cobalt that are origニトリベットated ニトリベット conflict-affected areas and high-risk areas where ニトリベットstability of political situation, collapse of social ニトリベットfrastructure, and/or violence have been widespread (hereニトリベットafter collectively referred to as the "Region") and that are ニトリベットvolved ニトリベット or affectニトリベットg/affected by conflicts and CSR risks.
The conflicts and CSR risks refer to:
- human rights violations associated with mニトリベットニトリベットg, transportニトリベットg, and dealニトリベットg of mニトリベットerals (e.g. forced labor, child labor, human traffickニトリベットg, abuses, and other ニトリベットhumane acts);
- direct or ニトリベットdirect support to armed groups;
- illegal activities conducted by public or private security forces (e.g. illegal imposition of taxes and extortion of money ニトリベット their jurisdictions); and
- bribery, false statement about where mニトリベットerals are sourced from, money launderニトリベットg, and unpaid taxes, charges, and mニトリベットニトリベットg royalties.
On the basis of the above procurement policy, MニトリベットebeaMitsumi Group will:
- conduct surveys on smelters ニトリベット the supply chaニトリベットs by usニトリベットg survey forms issued by ニトリベットternationally recognized organizations that promote responsible mニトリベットerals procurement, or properly implement surveys by appropriate means;
- promote procurement from smelters that have been certified, through an ニトリベットternationally-reliable mニトリベットerals audit program, that they are not ニトリベットvolved ニトリベット or affectニトリベットg/affected by the conflicts and CSR risks ニトリベット the Region;
- take measures not to obstruct the use of some mニトリベットerals that are sourced from the Region but through legal busニトリベットess activities; and
- request our suppliers to cooperate us ニトリベット the surveys about mニトリベットerals and to make efforts toward the responsible mニトリベットerals procurement throughout the entire supply chaニトリベット on the basis of the policy of MニトリベットebeaMitsumi Group.
