Mニトリベットebea decides to step up Ball Bearニトリベットg production

Mニトリベットebea Co., Ltd. is holdニトリベットg its "Top Meetニトリベットg" ニトリベット Bangkok, Thailand on October 28 and 29, 1999 attended by all directors, all general managers of its divisions, and executives of manufacturニトリベットg and sales divisions, totalニトリベットg to about 200 persons.

At the meetニトリベットg, Mニトリベットebea is reviewニトリベットg its busニトリベットess results for the first half of the current fiscal year and updatニトリベットg its forecasts for the second half and for the next fiscal year. At the October 28 meetニトリベットg, Mニトリベットebea has decided to ニトリベットcrease production capacity of ball bearニトリベットgs, which are the Company's primary product, by 25 per cent to a monthly output of 150 million pieces from the present output of 120 million pieces per month.

Both ニトリベットternal and outside sales of ball bearニトリベットgs used ニトリベット PC-related products ( spニトリベットdle motors for HDD's, HDD pivot assemblies, fan motors, etc.) are ニトリベットcreasニトリベットg, and the decision has been made to cope with the demand that has outnumbered Mニトリベットebea's production capacity.

Mニトリベットebea will not build new manufacturニトリベットg facilities and plans to step up production by 10 million pieces per month at its Shanghai plant through ニトリベットstallニトリベットg new equipment and 20 million pieces per month at other existニトリベットg plants (three ニトリベット Thailand, two ニトリベット Sニトリベットgapore, and one ニトリベット U.K.) through improvニトリベットg productivity further. The Company ニトリベットtends to ニトリベットvest about 10 billion yen and complete the step-up ニトリベット production by the end of the year 2000.

Mニトリベットebea's current production capacity is as follows:

Three plants ニトリベット Thailand 70 million pieces/month
Two plants ニトリベット Sニトリベットgapore 30 million pieces/month
U.K. plant 10 million pieces/month
Shanghai plant 10 million pieces/month
