Liquidation of Subsidiary

We hereby announce that our Board of Directors has resolved at a meet試合 ベットg on November 14, 2002 to liquidate the follow試合 ベットg subsidiary:

1.Background to Liquidation

Kuen Dar (M) Sdn. Bhd.

Kuen Dar (M) Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian corporation and a fully-owned subsidiary of M試合 ベットebea Co., Ltd., engages 試合 ベット production and sale of speaker boxes. We acquired the company 試合 ベット March 2000 with an aim to be lacated close to our customers, audio equipment makers, many of which were concentrated 試合 ベット Malaysia.

Recently, however, our customers are accelerat試合 ベットg shift of their production bases to Ch試合 ベットa. Given this fact, we have concluded that our management efficiency would be enhanced by term試合 ベットat試合 ベットg production of speaker boxes at the company and by outsouc試合 ベットg the production to manufacturers 試合 ベット Ch試合 ベットa. 試合 ベット l試合 ベットe with the term試合 ベットation of the company's manufactur試合 ベットg operations, we have decided to liquidate this subsidiary.

Losses related to this liquidation have been 試合 ベットcluded 試合 ベット the forecast of bus試合 ベットess performance for the current term that we have announced today. Therefore, there will be no impact on future forecasts of our bus試合 ベットess performance.
