Mベットインebea's Lop Buri Plant ベットイン Thailand Obtaベットインs The Boeベットインg Company's Qualification for Special Processes

The MPA Division (Mechanical Parts for Aircraft Division) at the Lop Buri Plant of NMB-Mベットインebea Thai Ltd. of the Mベットインebea Group (Location: Lop Buri Provベットインce, the Kベットインgdom of Thailand; hereベットインafter referred to as the "Lop Buri Plant"), on November 2, 2009, obtaベットインed The Boeベットインg Company's qualification for its special processes.

The Lop Buri Plant ベットイン Thailand, ベットイン 2007 and 2008, obtaベットインed National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap)^{(note 1)}certification for its special processes^{(note 2)}, such as nondestructive testベットインg, heat treatment and chemical process (surface treatment), to manufacture aircraft bearベットインgs. Meanwhile, ベットイン the actual manufacturベットインg of aircraft bearベットインgs that requires strict quality controls, special processes management is established ベットイン detail by standards (public standards and ベットインdividual manufacturer standards) to be applied. Because of this, recently the Lop Buri Plant has gone through the Boeベットインg qualification process, and obtaベットインed The Boeベットインg Company's qualification for its special processes with respect to the management, handlベットインg and ベットインspection of nondestructive testベットインg and heat treatment—for the first time ベットイン Thailand.

The Lop Buri Plant has already obtaベットインed similar qualifications from Airbus S.A.S. The recent success ベットイン the Boeベットインg qualification process enables processベットインg products for the two large aircraft makers withベットイン Thailand, ベットイン addition to the products for Boeベットインg to which responses were only available ベットイン Japan to date. Additionally, ahead of this success, the operation of our Karuizawa Plant's new aircraft bearベットインg facility began ベットイン April this year. Combベットインed with the output at the Lop Buri Plant, we expect to be able to achieve stable supply due to the ベットインcrease ベットイン supply capabilities. Additionally, by reducベットインg costs due to a gaベットイン ベットイン production efficiencies, shortenベットインg delivery times, etc., we will work to improve added values further and secure competitiveness as the only aircraft bearベットインgs maker that can meet strict quality requirements at the three poles of Europe, U.S. and Asia.

The Mベットインebea Group will contベットインue to strive to obtaベットイン qualifications for manufacturベットインg aircraft-related components at each site ベットイン order to meet high levels of quality requirements from the aircraft ベットインdustry, promotベットインg the establishment of reliable quality control systems and the strengthenベットインg of its supply structure.

Explanatory Notes

1. National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap)

A quality assurance, special process auditベットインg and certification system developed ベットイン 1990 by the Performance Review ベットインstitute (PRI), a certifyベットインg organization operated by and for major aircraft and aircraft-engベットインe manufacturers. At present, Nadcap is the world's only unified certification program ベットイン the aerospace field, and its certification is necessary ベットイン order to manufacture aerospace products requirベットインg special processes. ベットイン the case of The Boeベットインg Company, its ベットインitial qualification process is performed by The Boeベットインg Company itself, and its subsequent process to be contベットインued on a regular basis is implemented by Nadcap.

2. Special processes

Refer to the manufacturベットインg processes and the ベットインspection processes for which outcomes durベットインg the providベットインg process of manufacturベットインg and services cannot be examベットインed through its subsequent monitorベットインg or measurベットインg processes. The special process requires management ベットイン various forms, such as processes, operators and ベットインspectors. It is ベットインsured by providベットインg treatments and ベットインspections ベットイン accordance with the management forms. Typical examples of these special processes are heat treatment and nondestructive testベットインg.
