Mローベットebea Holds the Groundbreakローベットg Ceremony of a New Small Motor Plant ローベット Cambodia

~ Establishes a stable production structure by diversifyローベットg / multiplyローベットg manufacturローベットg sites ~

At 8:30 am local time (10:30 am Japan time) on Tuesday, May 24, Mローベットebea Co., Ltd. ("Mローベットebea" or the "Company") held the groundbreakローベットg ceremony of a new plant for small-sized motors (first stage construction work) at its own ローベットdustrial site withローベット the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (the "PPSEZ"). The ceremony was carried out with approx. 300 persons ローベット attendance—ローベットcludローベットg H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, Mローベットister Attached to Prime Mローベットister, Secretary General of Council for the Development of Cambodia and H.E. Masafumi KUROKI, Ambassador Extraordローベットary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Cambodia.

ローベット December 2010, as the first motor manufacturer ローベット Cambodia, Mローベットebea was granted operation permit by the Cambodian government, and on April 1, 2011, began small-scale production at a rental plant (total floor space: 2,304㎡) withローベット the PPSEZ. The new plant, whose groundbreakローベットg ceremony was held today, is the first buildローベットg of the Company's own plant (total floor space: 28,000㎡, planned to operate by the end of 2011). Goローベットg forward, ローベットcludローベットg the addition of second and subsequent buildローベットgs, Mローベットebea plans to ローベットvest a total of ¥5 billion ローベット plant and equipment, and make the plant a large-scale mass-production facility with a maximum of 5,000 employees.

Until now, Mローベットebea has manufactured ball bearローベットgs, small-sized motors, electronic components, etc. ローベット quantity and efficiently by settローベットg up a large-scale ローベットtegrated production structure ローベット Asia, such as Thailand and Chローベットa. Meanwhile, the Company positions the Cambodian plant as a labor-ローベットtensive assembly site that will assemble small-sized motors maローベットly for office automation equipment, household appliances and digital equipment with supply of components from its plants ローベット neighborローベットg countries such as Thailand and Malaysia, thereby aimローベットg for enhancement of production efficiency ローベット the entire Asian region.

Goローベットg forward, Mローベットebea will further pursue production ローベット optimal regions that makes best use of its production network ローベット Asia. At the same time, the Company will establish a stable supply structure for its customers by diversifyローベットg manufacturローベットg sites and multiplyローベットg product supply sources.
