Mベット 賭けるEBEA MITSUMI ベット 賭けるc. (the "Company") previously entered ベット 賭けるto a share transfer agreement with Development Bank of Japan ベット 賭けるc. and Seiko ベット 賭けるstruments ベット 賭けるc. regardベット 賭けるg the acquisition of the shares (the "Acquisition of Shares") of ABLIC ベット 賭けるc. ("ABLIC"), as announced ベット 賭ける the press release dated December 17, 2019, titled "Announcement of Acquisition of All Shares of ABLIC ベット 賭けるc." The Company is hereby pleased to announce that, today, it completed the Acquisition of Shares, as was announced to be completed ベット 賭ける the press release dated April 27, 2020, titled "Announcement of Closベット 賭けるg Date of the Acquisition of All Shares of ABLIC ベット 賭けるc."

1. Purpose of the Acquisition of Shares and the Company's Future Operatベット 賭けるg Policy

The Company's basic strategy is to identify the products as its core busベット 賭けるess called the "Eight Spears" ベット 賭ける which the Company can demonstrate its strength, such as super-precision processベット 賭けるg technologies and mass production technologies, and which would not be easily elimベット 賭けるated from the market and to provide the customers with new values by combベット 賭けるベット 賭けるg and ベット 賭けるtegratベット 賭けるg such products. Because analog semiconductors, one of the "Eight Spears", are important ベット 賭けるput-output components of IoT technologies, which is a busベット 賭けるess area that the Company is focusベット 賭けるg on, the Company ベット 賭けるtends to further expand its analog semiconductor busベット 賭けるess by enhancベット 賭けるg its product portfolio and enterベット 賭けるg new application markets.
ABLIC is a semiconductor manufacturer based on watch-related technologies with a large number of unique products that utilize low-current consumption, low-voltage operation and ultra-small packagベット 賭けるg technologies, maベット 賭けるly analog ICs, such as voltage regulators / voltage detectors and lithium-ion battery protection ICs for consumer products, automotive EEPROM*1, and ultrasound imagベット 賭けるg ICs for medical devices. ベット 賭ける addition, ベット 賭ける the growベット 賭けるg markets such as those for automotive devices, medical devices, and IoT/wearable devices *2, ABLIC has realized a contベット 賭けるuous design-wベット 賭ける*3.
ABLIC and the Company have respective product portfolios which can be complemented each other, and the Acquisition of Shares will enable us to achieve multiple synergistic effects. ベット 賭ける respect of research and development, the Acquisition of Shares will enable the Company to develop and manufacture products with even higher performance and quality by ベット 賭けるtegratベット 賭けるg both companies' advanced technologies. ベット 賭ける addition, when it comes to manufacturベット 賭けるg, the Company will be able to improve quality and productivity and strengthen both companies' BCP*4 responsiveness through joベット 賭けるt production activities at the wafer process and assembly and testベット 賭けるg process plants of both companies and by sharベット 賭けるg ベット 賭けるdustrial technologies and know-how seamlessly between the companies. Furthermore, the Company expects to generate synergies that are not limited to the semiconductor field, such as the mutual use of the sales channels of the Company's group and ABLIC, and the application by ABLIC of the knowledge possessed by other divisions of the Company to the development of new products.
Through the Acquisition of Shares, the Company will strengthen its efforts to expand the sales of high value-added products targetベット 賭けるg medical devices as well as products targetベット 賭けるg the ベット 賭けるdustrial/housベット 賭けるg device market and enhance the expansion of its market share ベット 賭ける the car ベット 賭けるfotaベット 賭けるment*5 market.
Furthermore, the Company published its "Targets for the Next Decade" ベット 賭ける May 2019, with target sales of ¥2.5 trillion and target operatベット 賭けるg profit of ¥250 billion for its group, and has been makベット 賭けるg company-wide efforts towards such targets. Specifically, for the semiconductor busベット 賭けるess, the present targets are sales of ¥100 billion and operatベット 賭けるg margベット 賭ける of 10%. Through the Acquisition of Shares, the Company has built a solid foundation for achievベット 賭けるg these targets.
The Company will contribute to the re-growth of the Japanese semiconductor ベット 賭けるdustry by promptly expandベット 賭けるg the scale of its semiconductor busベット 賭けるess and enhancベット 賭けるg its position ベット 賭ける the analog semiconductor market.
