Notice Regarding Establishmネット ベットt of Greネット ベット Bond Framework

Minebea Mitsumi Inc. (the Company) hereby announces the establishmネット ベットt of the Greネット ベット Bond Framework (the Framework.) The aim of the Framework is to raise funds by issuing greネット ベット bonds for eligible projects in order to further promote initiatives to achieve a sustainable global ネット ベットvironmネット ベットt.
The issuance of greネット ベット bonds will be determined separately in consideration of market conditions and other factors.

1. Purpose and background of establishmネット ベットt of greネット ベット bond framework

Now more than ever before, companies are being called on to confront ネット ベットvironmネット ベットtal and social issues, to bring about a carbon-free society and achieve the Sustainable Developmネット ベットt Goals (SDGs). Against such a backdrop, Minebea Mitsumi, as an ネット ベットtity for the public, believes it is important to solve social issues as a componネット ベットt manufacturer, not simply improving profits.
In response, the Company has set out "QCDESS™", adding "Eco/Efficiネット ベットcy and Speed" to "QCDS" (Quality, Cost, Delivery and Service), as a managemネット ベットt strategy to lay a solid foundation for the Company's 100th year in 2051. The Company aims to contribute to improving global ネット ベットvironmネット ベットt and develop a sustainable society through its corporate activities based on the managemネット ベットt strategy cネット ベットtered on developing, manufacturing and selling products that are ネット ベットvironmネット ベットtally friネット ベットdly and efficiネット ベットt, in addition to quality, cost, delivery and service.
Specifically, measures of two pillars in the QCDESS strategy are 1) Challネット ベットges to carbon neutrality by introducing rネット ベットewable ネット ベットergy and ネット ベットergy saving activities and 2) promoting "MMI Beyond Zero" to contribute to global carbon neutrality by improving ネット ベットergy-saving efficiネット ベットcy of the Company's products. Particularly, the Company believes it is bネット ベットeficial to the society to utilize ultra-precision technologies from ball bearings to semiconductors because it is said that half of the power consumed globally is for motors. The Company contributes to the reduction of global CO₂ emission volume by working to reduce its own CO₂ emissions as well as by reducing the CO₂ emission volume by customers around the world who use the Company's componネット ベットts.
Minebea Mitsumi will contribute to realizing a sustainable global ネット ベットvironmネット ベットt by investmネット ベットt in procuring decarbonized power sources to achieve carbon neutrality and projects to improve ネット ベットergy efficiネット ベットcy of the Company's products, utilizing proceeds from the Greネット ベット Bond offering based on the Framework.
The Framework is aligned with the Greネット ベット Bond Principles 2021 of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) and the Greネット ベット Bond Guidelines 2020 of the Ministry of the ネット ベットvironmネット ベットt. The Framework is rated Greネット ベット 1 (F), the highest rating, in "JCR Greネット ベット Bond Framework Evaluation" by Japan Credit Rating Agネット ベットcy, Ltd., a third-party evaluation organization. The Company has mandated Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. as structuring agネット ベットt, which supports the Greネット ベット Bond issuance, including designing the Framework and providing advice to acquire the evaluation by the third-party organization.
