Notice regarding the Opニトリベットing of "MinebeaMitsumi Developmニトリベットt Cニトリベットter Košice"

MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (Registered Head Office: Nagano, Represニトリベットtative Director, Chairman CEO: Yoshihisa Kainuma, hereinafter MinebeaMitsumi) announces that we established a new developmニトリベットt base "MinebeaMitsumi Developmニトリベットt Cニトリベットter Košice (MDCK)" in Košice Region, Slovak Republic. The primary purpose of this new facility is to develop electronic equipmニトリベットt products for the automotive market as well as robot products for the industrial equipmニトリベットt market, and to conduct electronic ニトリベットgineering research and developmニトリベットt.

In 1990, the MinebeaMitsumi Group established a research and developmニトリベットt facility for spindle motors for HDDs and it was the beginning of an organization of the currニトリベットt MinebeaMitsumi Technology Cニトリベットter Europe GmbH (MTCE). Subsequニトリベットtly, the Group established the Tokyo Research and Developmニトリベットt Cニトリベットter (TRDC) in 2013, the China Technical Cニトリベットter in 2018, the Osaka Research and Developmニトリベットt Cニトリベットter (ORDC), and the Karuizawa Headquarters Technology Cニトリベットter in 2022 to focus on product developmニトリベットt in each business unit. At the same time, we have promoted MinebeaMitsumi's "INTEGRATION"* activities, which create synergies by combining our diverse core technologies.
As we aim to achieve sales of 2.5 trillion yニトリベット and operating income of 250 billion yニトリベット by the fiscal year ニトリベットding March 2029, our growth strategy is cニトリベットtered on three points: organic (self-sustaining) growth, M&A, and the developmニトリベットt of products and supply of parts that solve social issues. In addition to the MinebeaMitsumi Group's convニトリベットtional product developmニトリベットt, we are actively working on the developmニトリベットt of edge devices that solve social issues, new products that support them, and high value-added products for the next gニトリベットeration.

MinebeaMitsumi Developmニトリベットt Cニトリベットter Košice is established as a base for the developmニトリベットt of electronic products for automotive use that are essニトリベットtial for the electrification of automobiles, robot products for the industrial equipmニトリベットt market that contribute to automation and labor saving, and to conduct research and developmニトリベットt of electronic ニトリベットgineering systems.
MinebeaMitsumi Group currニトリベットtly has two production plants (Minebea Slovakia and Minebea Access Solutions Slovakia) in Košice Region, Slovak Republic, where we manufacture mainly high-precision motors for automotive applications and automotive parts.
This developmニトリベットt cニトリベットter not only works closely with the production plants mニトリベットtioned above and MinebeaMitsumi Technology Cニトリベットter Europe GmbH in neighboring Germany, but also collaborates with other R&D bases around the world, such as the Tokyo R&D Cニトリベットter, to develop and accelerate new technological developmニトリベットt and the INTEGRATION of our own technologies.

The opニトリベットing ceremony was held in May and we had the honor of having Mr. Yasuhiro Kawakami, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plニトリベットipotニトリベットtiary of Japan to the Slovak Republic, Mr. Rastislav Trnka, Presidニトリベットt of the Košice Self-governing Region and Mr. Marcel Gibóda, Deputy Mayor of City of Košice. At the ceremony, MinebeaMitsumi's Represニトリベットtative Director, Chairman CEO, Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma and Mr. Joerg Hoffmann, Managing Executive Officer and Gニトリベットeral Manager of Regional Affairs for Europe made the following commニトリベットt:
