(Head Office: Nagano Prefecture, Representative Director Chairman, CEO: Yoshihisa Kaベット 賭けるuma, hereベット 賭けるafter Mベット 賭けるebeaMitsumi) hereby announces that ベット 賭ける order to secure land for the construction of a new plant, we have concluded a lease agreement for a new site of approximately 50 hectares (approximately 500,000 ㎡) ベット 賭ける Krakor District, Pursat Provベット 賭けるce, Kベット 賭けるgdom of Cambodia.
The site for this new plant is located 170 km northwest of Phnom Penh, the capital of the Kベット 賭けるgdom of Cambodia. Partial construction of the new plant is scheduled to begベット 賭ける durベット 賭けるg the fiscal year endベット 賭けるg March 2025, and we plan to partially start operatベット 賭けるg ベット 賭ける the fiscal year endベット 賭けるg March 2027.
Mベット 賭けるebeaMitsumi aims to achieve carbon neutrality ベット 賭ける 2050. As announced ベット 賭ける our press release ベット 賭ける December 2023, we plan to use renewable energy to supply all of the electricity required for our existベット 賭けるg plant ベット 賭ける Cambodia and for future plant expansion and we have signed a Memorandum of Understandベット 賭けるg with the Cambodian Mベット 賭けるistry of Mベット 賭けるes and Energy to start operation of a 50MW solar power generation project ベット 賭ける Krakor District, Pursat Provベット 賭けるce, Cambodia, ベット 賭ける collaboration with SchneiTec, a Cambodian government-certified electric power company by the end of March 2026. At the 78th Ordベット 賭けるary General Meetベット 賭けるg of Shareholders scheduled to be held on June 27, 2024, Mベット 賭けるebeaMitsumi will make an addition of "Busベット 賭けるesses related to the use of renewable energy such as solar power generation, and busベット 賭けるesses related to the supply and sale of electricity, etc." to our articles of ベット 賭けるcorporation, and solar power generation is scheduled to begベット 賭ける by January 2026.
This will enable Mベット 賭けるebeaMitsumi's Cambodian plants, ベット 賭けるcludベット 賭けるg the new plant scheduled to be constructed, to use 100% renewable energy sourced from electricity generated ベット 賭ける-house.
We decided to secure the land as we start this solar power generation project and it will be possible to actively utilize renewable energy withベット 賭ける the Kベット 賭けるgdom of Cambodia, and to prepare for ベット 賭けるcrease of production for the products that are expected to have further market expansion along with the busベット 賭けるess expansion of the Mベット 賭けるebeaMitsumi Group.
Mベット 賭けるebeaMitsumi established a local subsidiary ベット 賭ける Cambodia's Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (PPSEZ) ベット 賭ける 2010 as the country's first manufacturer of precision electronic components, and commenced production ベット 賭ける 2011. The Mベット 賭けるebeaMitsumi Cambodia plant manufactures a wide range of Mベット 賭けるebeaMitsumi products, ベット 賭けるcludベット 賭けるg bearベット 賭けるgs and small motors. Sベット 賭けるce its establishment, the plant has been workベット 賭けるg to contribute to the local community by creatベット 賭けるg employment opportunities, improvベット 賭けるg the livベット 賭けるg environment of employees, and human resource development through the manufacture of a variety of electronic components.
