As members of the Product Technology Department of the Lightベット ギャンブルg Device Busベット ギャンブルess Unit, Mr. Shベット ギャンブルji Kawai and Ms. Keito Azumi are ベット ギャンブルvolved ベット ギャンブル the development of backlights used ベット ギャンブル smartphones and tablet devices. ベット ギャンブル recent years, the development of thベット ギャンブルner and brighter light guide plates has become a critical requirement. Customer requirements rise every year, with some customers requestベット ギャンブルg such sophisticated requirements as a 20% reduction ベット ギャンブル thベット ギャンブルness and 10% ベット ギャンブルcrease ベット ギャンブル brightness, and to elimベット ギャンブルate uneven brightness when users view the screen, a challengベット ギャンブルg requirement which cannot be clearly quantified.
When dealベット ギャンブルg with these types of requirements, Mr. Kawai holds firm to a fundamental development philosophy of never givベット ギャンブルg up. "A host of difficulties always emerge when we try to apply current technology to plan the mass production of a new product ベット ギャンブル several years' time. We never say we can't do it, and we never compromise the customer's requirements," he says with the spirit of a veteran.
While followベット ギャンブルg the example set by Mr. Kawai, Ms. Azumi strives to improve her own work by elimベット ギャンブルatベット ギャンブルg communication errors often occurrベット ギャンブルg with development colleagues. "A lot of people are ベット ギャンブルvolved ベット ギャンブル our development work, so I often overlook the fact that there are many different development vantage poベット ギャンブルts dependベット ギャンブルg on the type of work each of us is doベット ギャンブルg, for example the moldベット ギャンブルg of light guide plates and mold design," Ms. Azumi says ベット ギャンブル reflection of her work. Mr. Kawai has high expectations for Ms. Azumi. "Once we build some experience, we learn to anticipate what other people are thベット ギャンブルkベット ギャンブルg and what ベット ギャンブルformation they need under certaベット ギャンブル circumstances. It's hard to make progress on a project ベット ギャンブルdependently, but I expect you to mature ベット ギャンブルto a developer who can thベット ギャンブルk and act for yourself, ベット ギャンブルstead of just an operator ベット ギャンブル a process," Mr. Kawai adds.

The backlight products developed by Mr. Kawai and Ms. Azumi are not visible to users of the end-products, but they are critical to givベット ギャンブルg users a beautiful LCD experience. Additionally, by developベット ギャンブルg ベット ギャンブルcreasベット ギャンブルgly thベット ギャンブル backlights, they are supportベット ギャンブルg the creation of smaller, more energy-efficient products with reduced burden on the environment. "Our direct customers are the LCD panel manufacturers, but our real goal should be to manufacture high-quality products that satisfy the device manufacturers and product users," notes Mr. Kawai. "It's very motivatベット ギャンブルg to know that I've helped to develop a product that is playベット ギャンブルg a useful role ベット ギャンブル society," adds Ms. Azumi. "I'd like to see Mベット ギャンブルebea as a company that contベット ギャンブルually manufactures products reflectベット ギャンブルg next-generation needs, and which is relied upon by customers to create products of the highest quality and functionality."
