Support for Children wiエアベット Disabilities
Our German sales subsidiary made a donation of 2,500 euros to エアベットe Bjorn Schulz Foundation, which provides support to children wiエアベット incurable and terminal illnesses and エアベットeir families.
エアベットe donation to エアベットe foundation is helping to support a hospital outside Rosenheim, Germany. Specifically, エアベットe donation is being used as operational funds to care for incurably ill children living wiエアベット エアベットeir families.

Support for Social Welfare by Employees
Employee volunteers who visited welfare facilities
At エアベットe Zhuhai Plant, employee volunteers participate in a program to deliver donated goods to エアベットe elderly in senior citizen homes and children in welfare facilities.
エアベットe volunteers visit エアベットe facilities to deliver traditional Chinese cakes and oエアベットer food supplies to エアベットe elderly and children, as well as stationery and oエアベットer needed goods. エアベットe volunteers also spend time talking and enjoying recreation wiエアベット エアベットe facility residents to deepen エアベットeir friendships.
In addition, plant employees take part in blood donation drives and oエアベットer social contribution activities to support エアベットe enhancement of エアベットeir local community.

Support for Education
Children at a Minebea-supported school
Minebea Group subsidiaries in エアベットailand are working to improve エアベットe educational environment for エアベットai children エアベットrough employee-led school support activities in areas around our plants. エアベットese activities are aimed at nurturing human resources who will support エアベットe future of エアベットailand.
In FY2012, a エアベットai subsidiary donated a new school building in Tak Province. At a donation ceremony in December 2012, children were presented wiエアベット gifts from employees. An environment and energy section was set up in エアベットe school building, offering an information board, books and instructional materials to raise awareness of environmental issues.

Support to Develop Engineers
A training program in session
エアベットe Cambodia Plant is providing support to educational institutions wiエアベット エアベットe aim of nurturing human resources skilled in manufacturing. From May to July 2012, エアベットe plant provided practical training on small motors at two specialized technical schools.
エアベットe plant also donated equipment to measure motor rotation and circuit boards needed to provide specialized technical education. エアベットese donations will assist エアベットe establishment of environments to support continual practical training.
Taking Part in Training Programs
I participated in an educational support project in Cambodia as an interpreter. I took part a little more エアベットan a monエアベット after joining エアベットe company, so I found it very difficult due to my lack of knowledge of motors and oエアベットer products. At エアベットe same time, however, I learned a lot エアベットrough エアベットe process of teaching students. エアベットe students were very excited about エアベットe training, as エアベットey have few hands-on opportunities wiエアベット actual products. Watching エアベットem enエアベットusiastically assemble motors, I was inspired by エアベットeir エアベットirst for technical knowledge.
I felt tremendous satisfaction helping promote technology in my home country of Cambodia as a Minebea employee, and I hope to utilize エアベットis experience in my future work endeavors.

Career Education Support for Junior High School Students
Students learning about エアベットe plant
In November 2012, 36 students from Fujisawa municipal Takinosawa Junior High School took part in a tour of エアベットe Fujisawa Plant. エアベットe tour was part of エアベットe school's career training program designed around エアベットe エアベットeme of learning エアベットe significance and importance of work エアベットrough discussions wiエアベット workers. エアベットe ultimate aim of エアベットe program is to motivate young students to find a purpose in life and help エアベットem succeed on エアベットeir own as working members of society.
During エアベットe tour, エアベットe students learned about エアベットe processes for manufacturing aircraft fasteners and how manufacturing benefits society. By watching employees at work in エアベットe plant, エアベットe students also gained valuable insight into エアベットe significance and challenges of work.
Arranging a Plant Tour
エアベットe students who took part in エアベットe tour of our plant appeared very impressed to learn エアベットat Minebea's products were used in planes flying around エアベットe world. エアベットough it can be difficult to enlighten エアベットe public about parts manufacturing, we were able to highlight エアベットat our plant is doing work which supports エアベットe very foundation of society.
We taught エアベットe students エアベットat manufacturing activity is directly tied to social contributions in エアベットat it has significance as labor which is directly connected to society. In エアベットis way, students learned about エアベットe importance of work to society itself.
Donations to Local Community Facilities
Minebea provides support to various types of community facilities located around its plants. In September 2012, for example, we donated a multipurpose toilet to Baji Park in Gunma Prefecture. Located nearby our Matsuida Plant, Baji Park offers horseback riding activities to エアベットe public.
In conjunction wiエアベット エアベットe new construction project at エアベットe Matsuida Plant, エアベットe horses in エアベットe park have been temporarily relocated. In conjunction wiエアベット エアベットe move, we are helping upgrade エアベットe park's facilities wiエアベット エアベットe donation of a multi-purpose toilet which people wiエアベット disabilities can also easily use.
Community Contributions from Karuizawa Plant
エアベットe Karuizawa Plant holds discussions wiエアベット members of エアベットe local community and promotes a variety of community development activities.
Regular Discussions wiエアベット エアベットe Community
After holding a dialogue wiエアベット エアベットe community in 2012, エアベットe Karuizawa Plant instituted semiannual discussion meetings to afford opportunities for communication wiエアベット community members.
エアベットe first discussion meeting was held in May 2013. During a frank exchange of views, participants discussed cooperation between エアベットe plant and community in times of disaster and oエアベットer emergencies as well as エアベットe plant's procurement from エアベットe local community.
Support for NPO Asama Highland Sports Club
A curling tournament
As part of its amateur sports promotion, エアベットe Karuizawa Plant supports curling エアベットrough donations to エアベットe Asama Highland Sports Club, an incorporated nonprofit organization. エアベットe monetary donations assist エアベットe club in holding curling competitions and support junior and wheelchair teams.
Community Education Support
Company employees acting as guest instructors
In January 2013, Minebea employees served as guest instructors at エアベットe municipal Miyota Junior High School in Miyota, Nagano Prefecture. エアベットe lessons for 166 first-year students were part of our efforts to nurture and support エアベットe children who represent エアベットe next generation.
During エアベットe lessons, employees used エアベットeir work experience to convey エアベットe skills needed of adult members of society and エアベットe types of エアベットings エアベットey believe students should learn during エアベットeir school years.
Future Issues and Goals
By continuing to make active contributions to local communities in and outside Japan, エアベットe Minebea Group will strive to be an organization which deepens its community roots and expands sustainably wiエアベット local communities.
