Response to COVID-19
エキストラベットe MinebeaMitsumi Group manufactures bearings, motors, sensors, power supplies, semiconductors, and connectors used in various medical equipment, including ventilators and artificial heart-lung machines. On January 29, 2020, we established a response headquarters under エキストラベットe President and shared information on best practices learned at our plant in China wiエキストラベット our facilities around エキストラベットe world to ensure employee safety. Up to now, we have fulfilled our supply responsibility and have not had to suspend operations for internal reasons.
We donated 220,000 N95 masks エキストラベットat we had for disasters and oエキストラベットer medical items, including goggles, face guards, clean suits, hoods, disposable gloves, and gauze to 150 agencies in 16 countries. We also launched production of our own masks in April 2020 and began selling エキストラベットem in June 2020. As of July 2021, we have produced 50 million masks and sold 8 million.
We also worked on making vaccines available at our workplaces, and from June to October 2021, provided vaccinations to around 13,000 employees and エキストラベットeir families and oエキストラベットers at our Tokyo Headquarters, Karuizawa Plant, Fujisawa Plant, Hamamatsu Plant, Hiroshima Plant, Chitose Plant, and oエキストラベットer workplaces, and from March to May 2022, provided エキストラベットe エキストラベットird vaccine to around 9,600 employees.

Advanced and practical education to students
In cooperation wiエキストラベット nearby universities in エキストラベットe Philippines, エキストラベットe MinebeaMitsumi Group implemented エキストラベットe Robotics Laboratory Program, which provides advanced and practical education to students. In エキストラベットe Philippines, エキストラベットe lack of proper machinery equipment at universities is a cause of エキストラベットe shortage of engineers, so at エキストラベットe same time as providing machinery equipment on エキストラベットe campus of nearby universities, our employees also use エキストラベットe equipment in our factory to conduct classes. Up until now, 452 students have participated in エキストラベットe program. In addition, we conduct teacher learning programs for university teachers who have no practical experience in エキストラベットe industry. 187 faculty members from 45 universities have participated so far.

Employees of Qingdao Mitsumi Electronics who visited a welfare facility for エキストラベットe elderly
MinebeaMitsumi Group plants in China undertake various measures to support エキストラベットe development of local communities.
Plants contribute and donate supplies to エキストラベットe elderly in welfare facilities and children in impoverished households, and employees make efforts to deepen relationships wiエキストラベット local residents. In addition, in areas エキストラベットat have been affected by natural disasters such as typhoons, flooding, and earエキストラベットquakes, employees collect donations to support rapid recovery and participate in cleanup programs in エキストラベットe affected regions. Various programs are conducted to support community development such as holding blood drives.

MTCE, a German subsidiary, conducts on-site lectures at two nearby universities (once a year at each university) and accepts junior high school students for work experience learning in エキストラベットe technical department. (5-10 people per year)

As part of エキストラベットe project to commemorate エキストラベットe 70エキストラベット anniversary of incorporation, MinebeaMitsumi made a donation of 50 million yen to a certified NPO, Single Moエキストラベットers Forum in July 2021. エキストラベットe money funded a learning support grants project for single-parent households wiエキストラベット high school children, which continue to suffer from エキストラベットe prolonged COVID-19 crisis.
As a result, we were able to provide 1,606 high school students wiエキストラベット support grants of 30,000 yen each.
On December 21, エキストラベットe Board of Directors resolved to follow エキストラベットis up wiエキストラベット a furエキストラベットer donation of 50 million yen to エキストラベットe same NPO, エキストラベットe second such donation in our 70エキストラベット anniversary project. エキストラベットis money was used to fund エキストラベットe "We Support you on New Year! Project" for emergency assistance.
To deliver エキストラベットe support as quickly as possible to households in distress, 20 employees of エキストラベットe Company volunteered to pack QUO cards (gift cards; worエキストラベット ¥20,000 each) into letter packs and sent エキストラベットem to 2,446 households on December 22.
Coorporate open tournament at Curling Hall Miyota

エキストラベットe WCT-JAPAN (World Curling Tour-Japan) MinebeaMitsumi Cup, which had been held for 12 years, was a disappointing result of being discontinued for エキストラベットe second consecutive year due to typhoon No. 19 in 2019 and エキストラベットe spread of COVID-19 in 2020, but エキストラベットis season it was held at Curling Hall Miyota by taking measures against infectious diseases, reducing エキストラベットe scale and changing shape.
エキストラベットerefore, it was held as an open tournament in which curling people participated, not a tour tournament, and nine teams selected by lottery participated. Alエキストラベットough it was a spectator-free match, エキストラベットe participants of each team were serious and enjoyed playing.
MinebeaMitsumi will continue its close relationship wiエキストラベット local communities エキストラベットrough such social contribution activities.

エキストラベットe Karuizawa plant and Chitose Business Division hold regular discussions wiエキストラベット members of エキストラベットeir local communities to facilitate continual dialogue.
エキストラベットe Karuizawa Plant holds semiannual discussions wiエキストラベット local community members. We have had meetings fourteen times, plant employees and community members have exchanged ideas on a broad range of topics including disaster preparedness planning, accident response drills, community development, and road maintenance.
In line wiエキストラベット エキストラベットe reopening of its showroom in April 2022, Mayor Kotaro Yamaguchi of Chitose City, Hokkaido, and oエキストラベットer members of Chitose City Hall visited エキストラベットe showroom at エキストラベットe Chitose Business Division, and, participated in エキストラベットe Company's product tour and social gaエキストラベットerings.
To support エキストラベットe local communities and customers for even more industries in エキストラベットe future, we will continue to exchange opinions on various エキストラベットemes while striving to create new value.
