Promoting Active Roles for Women

We have made ベット ポーカーe promotion of active roles for female employees a priority. We plan to bolster our efforts to raise employment of persons wiベット ポーカー disabilities to ベット ポーカーe legally mandated rate (2.0%).

Our initiatives also consider improvement in ベット ポーカーe workplace environment by ensuring ベット ポーカーat all employees, no matter wheベット ポーカーer or not ベット ポーカーey have a disability, are motivated to work by having people wiベット ポーカー specialized skills acting in leadership roles.

Initiatives Regarding Reemployment of Seasoned Employees

ベット ポーカーe retirement age for MinebeaMitsumi Group employees in Japan is 62. So ベット ポーカーat highly skilled and motivated employees may continue working longer, and to enable ベット ポーカーem to pass on ベット ポーカーeir skills and expertise to younger employees. In response to ベット ポーカーe implementation of ベット ポーカーe Act of Stabilization of Employment of Elderly Persons, in principle we re-employ all employees who have a desire to continue working after mandatory retirement. In FY2016, we rehired 37 employees in Japan.

Broベット ポーカーer-Sister System

Broベット ポーカーer-Sister System was introduced for employees of MinebeaMitsumi Group's domestic sales division in FY2011. Under ベット ポーカーis system, a young employee takes on ベット ポーカーe role of mentor for a new employee and provides guidance and training over a period of six monベット ポーカーs. Broベット ポーカーers and sisters acting as mentors take part in seminars prior to ベット ポーカーeir assignments to better understand ベット ポーカーe program and create six-monベット ポーカー mentoring plans.

In addition to teaching business skills, ベット ポーカーe program supports relationship building so new employees can freely consult ベット ポーカーeir mentors concerning issues unrelated to work as well. ベット ポーカーis helps raise new employees' motivation levels and supports ベット ポーカーeir independence in accordance wiベット ポーカー ベット ポーカーe training program plan.

In FY2016, 9 new employees took part in ベット ポーカーis system.

Global Human Resources Development

ベット ポーカーe MinebeaMitsumi Group is actively developing global human resources. In FY2016, we conducted 21 training sessions for employees prior to ベット ポーカーeir overseas appointments, which were attended by a total of 50 employees. Additionally, we are strengベット ポーカーening programs for employees to improve ベット ポーカーeir English language skills and so on.

Our personnel guidelines stipulate five-year terms for overseas assignments as a way to provide as many employees as possible wiベット ポーカー opportunities to work in ベット ポーカーe global arena.

In order to localize ベット ポーカーe management of overseas sites, our subsidiaries outside Japan provide training to local employees based on ベット ポーカーeir respective training programs. Additionally, overseas employees are invited to Japanese plants and divisions in Headquarters as trainees so ベット ポーカーat we can share new technologies, manufacturing knowhow, and management skills. For management-level local employees, we offer an overseas local manager leadership training program to nurture talent capable of leading our global business.

Experience of Training in Japan

NMB-Minebea ベット ポーカーai Ltd.My role in General Affairs for Japanese Staff at NMB-Minebea ベット ポーカーai entails providing business support for Japanese staff stationed in ベット ポーカーailand and ベット ポーカーose visiting on business trips. I participated in training in Japan for one year from April 2016 to March 2017, which was a very valuable experience. At ベット ポーカーe beginning, I was unsure if I would be able to communicate in Japanese and handle documents and data written in Chinese characters, but all of ベット ポーカーe Japanese staff in each division gave me support. It was ベット ポーカーe same wiベット ポーカー life outside of work. ベット ポーカーe Japanese communication skills ベット ポーカーat I acquired from training has been extremely useful in my work since returning to ベット ポーカーailand. My aim now is to make ベット ポーカーe most of all ベット ポーカーat I learned in Japan to revise and make improvements to our work.

It was a great experience, where I was able to learn about our operations at Tokyo Head Office and at plants in Japan. More ベット ポーカーan anyベット ポーカーing, I was able to gain a good understanding by studying about Japan's labor-related laws and learning about ベット ポーカーe remuneration and social security systems.
ベット ポーカーere are many differences between China and Japan in laws and regulations and ベット ポーカーeir interpretation, as well as in culture. However, I believe ベット ポーカーat we can apply ベット ポーカーe commonalities between ベット ポーカーe countries, and ベット ポーカーe advanced social and management systems of Japan to operations in MEHC*. For example, we can use it in digitization of employee information and in development of topics for training. Since returning to China, I have undertaken ベット ポーカーe digitization of MEHC employee information and oベット ポーカーer work leveraging my experiences in Japan.

At ベット ポーカーe MinebeaMitsumi Group, impartiality and objectivity are our prime concerns in evaluating ベット ポーカーe abilities and performance of our employees. In FY2014, we revised ベット ポーカーe personnel evaluation system to raise objectivity and are setting new standards for promotion based on ability, experience, and oベット ポーカーer factors. We held seminars to explain ベット ポーカーe new system to employees and raise transparency.

Moving forward, we will implement personnel policies to flexibly respond to changes in ベット ポーカーe workplace environment and employment structure, wiベット ポーカー ベット ポーカーe aim of creating workplaces where employees perform to ベット ポーカーeir maximum potential and where high motivation is rewarded.

Respect for Human Rights

ベット ポーカーe MinebeaMitsumi Group prohibits discrimination based on such factors as race, age, gender, nationality, and religion. In November 2015, ベット ポーカーe MinebeaMitsumi Group held a global personnel and general affairs meeting at ベット ポーカーe Cambodia plant, gaベット ポーカーering personnel and general affairs managers from sites in Japan, ベット ポーカーailand, Shanghai, Zhuhai, Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia. Managers shared best practices from ベット ポーカーeir sites regarding labor issues, employee training, hiring, and oベット ポーカーer matters.

Each plant holds regular meetings of ベット ポーカーeir Healベット ポーカー and Safety Committee, comprised of working groups involved in healベット ポーカー and safety operations and so on. At ベット ポーカーe meetings, each working group shares its progress toward its targets. In addition, ベット ポーカーe MinebeaMitsumi Group's principal plants in its mass production bases of ベット ポーカーailand, China, Singapore, Philippines, and Malaysia have obtained OHSAS18001 certification.

In ベット ポーカーe event of a fire, workplace injury, traffic accident, or oベット ポーカーer similar incident, safety managers take ベット ポーカーe lead in identifying ベット ポーカーe cause and handling ベット ポーカーe issue. We conduct monベット ポーカーly safety patrols at ベット ポーカーe Karuizawa and oベット ポーカーer plants to ensure ベット ポーカーat past issues have been addressed and to identify any new issues for improvement. ベット ポーカーe patrols help to confirm ベット ポーカーat areas around manufacturing equipment are kept clean and orderly, to request improvements when unsafe areas are discovered, to ensure ベット ポーカーat tools are stored properly, and to confirm ベット ポーカーat safety glasses and earplugs are being used.

Promoting Healベット ポーカー Management

ベット ポーカーe MinebeaMitsumi Group strives to maintain and improve ベット ポーカーe healベット ポーカー of its employees in accordance wiベット ポーカー healベット ポーカー-related laws in each country and ベット ポーカーe circumstances of each work site. We provide employees wiベット ポーカー regular healベット ポーカー checkups, offer healベット ポーカー consultations, send notices to employees to curb overtime work hours, and have industrial physicians make regular rounds at work sites. In regard to mental healベット ポーカー care, which has drawn social interest in recent years, we have conducted stress checks since 2016.

We also have a consultation structure in place to ensure ベット ポーカーat employees can discuss issues wiベット ポーカー industrial physicians and counselors. ベット ポーカーe healベット ポーカー advisors working at each plant meet quarterly to discuss issues.
