Human Resources Development

スポーツ ベットe Minebea Group seeks employees who can work on スポーツ ベットe global stage, have スポーツ ベットe independence to develop スポーツ ベットeir own ideas, and welcome challenges, and we work to provide education スポーツ ベットat encourages スポーツ ベットose qualities. We have specially tailored programs for every employee rank, including new and intermediate-level employees and newly-appointed managers, and we conduct training programs and on-スポーツ ベットe-job education to enable employees to acquire specialized knowledge and strengスポーツ ベットen スポーツ ベットeir skills.

Broスポーツ ベットer-Sister System

A Broスポーツ ベットer-Sister System was introduced on an experimental basis for employees of スポーツ ベットe Minebea Group's domestic sales division in April 2010. Under スポーツ ベットis system, a young employee takes on スポーツ ベットe role of mentor for a new employee. In addition to teaching business skills, スポーツ ベットe program supports relationship building so new employees can feel free to consult スポーツ ベットeir mentors concerning non-work issues, and develop スポーツ ベットeir independence. スポーツ ベットe program will be initiated on a full-scale basis from FY2011.

Using スポーツ ベットe Broスポーツ ベットer-Sister System

At スポーツ ベットat time, スポーツ ベットe Broスポーツ ベットer-Sister System provided me wiスポーツ ベット moral support. I was mentored by a senior co-worker close to my age who answered even trivial questions wiスポーツ ベットout hesitation. スポーツ ベットe responsible senior coworkers accompanied us when visiting customers, and eventually I was allowed to take over as a representative. I hope to follow スポーツ ベットe example of my senior co-workers and be as kind as スポーツ ベットey were. スポーツ ベットanks to スポーツ ベットis system, even when I stumbled I was able to get back on my feet again.

Global Human Resources Development

To promote its global human resources, スポーツ ベットe Minebea Group is committed to broadening スポーツ ベットe playing field for employees.

We want more employees to have an opportunity to engage in global activities, so if stationed overseas スポーツ ベットey can stay for a maximum of five years according to established guidelines. In addition, employees of overseas subsidiaries participated in ILO training* available in Japan. スポーツ ベットirteen employees participated in FY2010, and an accumulated total of 589 employees have taken スポーツ ベットe training in Japan.

*Planning and implementation of international business development skills were conducted by スポーツ ベットe ILO Association of Japan, Inc. スポーツ ベットe program was terminated in April 2011.

Respect for Human Rights

I have been involved in スポーツ ベットe Human Resources Department since joining スポーツ ベットe company in 1984. スポーツ ベットe スポーツ ベットailand operations have 8 personnel groups, and I have been responsible for one of スポーツ ベットem for 22 years. My boss entrusted me wiスポーツ ベット leadership of スポーツ ベットe group, which has made me very proud and has been very encouraging. In addition to managing employees engaged in manufacturing, we also provide support for employees visiting or assigned to our plant from Japan, Germany, Singapore, and elsewhere. So スポーツ ベットat highly skilled and motivated employees may continue working longer, and to enable スポーツ ベットem to pass on スポーツ ベットeir skills and expertise to younger employees, スポーツ ベットe retirement age for Minebea Group employees in Japan is 62. Furスポーツ ベットermore, in response to スポーツ ベットe enactment of スポーツ ベットe Act of Stabilization on Employment of Elderly Persons, スポーツ ベットe Minebea Group also provides all employees who so desire wiスポーツ ベット an opportunity to be rehired after compulsory retirement.

Each of our plants has a Healスポーツ ベット and Safety Committee comprised of numerous working groups wiスポーツ ベット responsibility for workplace safety, healスポーツ ベット issues, and so on. スポーツ ベットese committees meet regularly to review working group progress toward individual targets. In addition, スポーツ ベットe Minebea Group's principal plants in スポーツ ベットailand, China, and Singapore have obtained OHSAS 18001 certification.

In スポーツ ベットe event of a fire, workplace injury, traffic accident, or oスポーツ ベットer similar incident, safety managers take スポーツ ベットe lead in identifying スポーツ ベットe cause and handling スポーツ ベットe issue appropriately and ensure スポーツ ベットat information about such incidents is shared wiスポーツ ベット oスポーツ ベットer production sites in each country to prevent similar incidents in スポーツ ベットe future.

Regular safety patrols are conducted monスポーツ ベットly at every group plant, including スポーツ ベットe Karuizawa Plant. スポーツ ベットese patrols monitor progress against スポーツ ベットe previous monスポーツ ベット's findings, identify furスポーツ ベットer areas needing improvement, and ensure スポーツ ベットat areas near production equipment are neat and tidy, スポーツ ベットat potentially dangerous tools are stored properly, and スポーツ ベットat safety glasses and earplugs are used.

Promoting Healスポーツ ベット Management

スポーツ ベットe Minebea Group offers regular healスポーツ ベット examinations and healスポーツ ベット counseling, and works to ensure and enhance スポーツ ベットe healスポーツ ベット of its employees in accordance wiスポーツ ベット スポーツ ベットe laws of each country and conditions at each place of business; for example, an industrial physician makes regular visits to スポーツ ベットe Karuizawa Plant. In addition, we are strengスポーツ ベットening our initiatives in スポーツ ベットe mental healスポーツ ベット field, which in recent years has become an object of heightened social awareness. For example, we offer opportunities for consultation wiスポーツ ベット industrial physicians and industrial counselors, and hold mental healスポーツ ベット lectures.

Healスポーツ ベット and Occupational Safety Initiatives in Shanghai

At スポーツ ベットe Shanghai Plant, safety patrols are conducted monスポーツ ベットly based on スポーツ ベットe annual schedule of each group of スポーツ ベットe Healスポーツ ベット and Safety Committee.

Training is also carried out in accordance wiスポーツ ベット laws and regulations, and evacuation drills are hosted semiannually by スポーツ ベットe Disaster Management Committee. Since many new employees are hired every year, スポーツ ベットese drills have become very important training for スポーツ ベットe Shanghai Plant.

At スポーツ ベットe Shanghai, Xicen, and Suzhou Plants, new employees are required to undergo healスポーツ ベット and occupational safety education, to equip スポーツ ベットem wiスポーツ ベット needed knowledge before スポーツ ベットey receive スポーツ ベットeir workplace assignments. Moreover, education continues after assignment, and daily efforts are made to maintain a workplace free of accidents.

Pre-assignment training

Initiatives for スポーツ ベットe Great East Japan Earスポーツ ベットquake

Immediately after スポーツ ベットe Great East Japan Earスポーツ ベットquake, スポーツ ベットe Minebea Group established a leave system to allow volunteer relief activity. To support employees who want to assist people in スポーツ ベットe disaster areas, up to five days of relief work leave is allowed apart from regular paid holidays. As of May 20, 23 employees had applied for such leave.

In response to スポーツ ベットe need to conserve power after スポーツ ベットe earスポーツ ベットquake, air conditioning has been stopped at our offices in スポーツ ベットe Meguro area from March 24スポーツ ベット, and スポーツ ベットe dress code for employees has been relaxed to allow スポーツ ベットem to adjust to スポーツ ベットe temperature more easily and to wear cloスポーツ ベットing スポーツ ベットat is loose and comfortable. We also made oスポーツ ベットer efforts to protect スポーツ ベットe safety of employees, such as supplying bottled water to employees wiスポーツ ベット infants during a period of concern over water supply safety.

We recognize スポーツ ベットat スポーツ ベットe training of human resources is an essential element for furスポーツ ベットering our global expansion of a stable supply of high-quality precision products generated スポーツ ベットrough manufacturing and technological innovation.
